2021 is an unusual year in many respects; LG has stopped making smartphones while Google has just launched what could be its best phone yet in the form of the Pixel 6 series. Something else that is a little odd is the absence of a new S-series of tablets from Samsung, which means that the Galaxy Tab S7 range could see some tasty discounts in the run-up to the festive period. 2022 could be much different, though, with everything pointing to Samsung unveiling the Galaxy Tab S8 series. As you might expect, there are already leaked renders of the tablet that reveal a pretty sweet design.
Thanks to the efforts of @OnLeaks and Zouton, we have a bunch of renders of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 that show all angles of the tablet. The renders are based on leaked dimensions and specifications so there will be some inaccuracies, but they give us a good idea of what to expect from Samsung’s next flagship Android tablet.
The Galaxy Tab S8 doesn’t seem to stray far from the Galaxy Tab S7 design but there is a difference in the location of the S Pen’s magnetic holder which is more reminiscent of its placement on the Galaxy Tab S6.
The likely reason for the delayed launch of the Galaxy Tab S8 series is the ongoing chip shortage which also pushed the Galaxy S21 FE’s launch back to January 2022. There’s no word on whether we should expect Samsung to announce the Galaxy Tab S8 series at the same time as the Galaxy S21 FE or whether it will be later in 2022.
