They’ve cut it close but the grown-ups at Roku and Google have finally agreed that the YouTube app can stay on the platform, just a day before the app was supposed to be removed from the Roku Channel Store on December 9th. Phew!
Months after the YouTube TV app was pulled from the Roku Channel Store at the start of the spat, we have confirmation that it is being restored for new and existing device owners to install. All thanks to the grown-ups getting together to agree on a new multi-year extension on the agreement that was due to finish on December 9th.
